2010 Chevy One Step Paint Correction and Ceramic Coating

Do you want to protect your vehicle from scratches and preserve the original factory paint?

Ceramic coatings are measured to have a hardness above 9H. Normal clear coat on your car has a hardness between 2H and 4H. This makes ceramic coatings the hardest paint coating on the market today. Any surface scratches that happen in the coating are easily removed by a light polish. The polish doesn’t weaken the integrity of the original clear coat. When you ceramic coat a vehicle - your paint won’t fade or age due to the UV protection in the glass coating. When you think of ceramic coating - think about it as an additional clear coat layer, only a lot harder.

Ceramic coatings also have a self cleaning effect. The nano technology allows the Ceramic nano particles to fill the smallest  pores in the paint which makes the Ceramic coating for glass shiny, smooth and extremely slick or hydrophobic. Ceramic coatings will dramatically lower the surface tension preventing environmental contaminants such as: tar, dirt, bugs and graffiti paint from bonding to the surface. Plain water will easily remove dirt from the surface by encapsulating it while rolling off the surface.

Ceramic coatings provide a permanent protection. It can only be removed through abrasion like wet sanding unlike sealants or waxes that degrade quickly.

Ceramic coatings allow less maintenance for your vehicle. The slick coated surface won’t allow dirt, break dust or tar to stick to your pain, glass or wheels. This will making washing your vehicle less frequent and less labor intensive.

Before ceramic coatings are applied - we recommend you do a paint correction process. The one step paint correction will take away swirling from where the vehicle has been washed, remove water spots and it will take the fading away from your original clear coat.

The customer with this Chevy came to us wanting to restore his  clear coat and keep it looking brand new. Once our team took a look at the truck - they noticed some rock chips, light swirling, water spots and the clear coat beginning to fade.

After we talked with the customer, he decided to go with our one step paint correction and the Leicht ceramic coating. The Leicht coating is a 2 year coating that will receive a free inspection, wash and new top coat every year (for 2 years).

This project was a blast for our team and we are so thankful we had the opportunity to do this for our customer!

Take a look at the video posted so you can see how the process went!
